Walking for Hope
Join Luigi on the Walk of Hope: a pilgrimage over 3,000-kilometres through different countries and sanctuaries with the aim of supporting Mary's Meals and helping to reach and feed 3 million children in the world's poorest countries.
Luigi will leave on 25 March from Loreto Sanctuary in Italy, he will then walk through Italy to Lourdes in France, and then to Santiago de Compostela in Spain and end his pilgrimage in Portugal with Fatim as his final destination.
Who is Luigi?
Luigi Farroni, based in the Marche region of Italy, has been a Mary's Meals volunteer since 2015. Passionate and fully committed, he fundraises in parishes, village festivals and several local events. His enthusiasm for the Mary's Meals movement and willingness to spread the message of the work that we do has helped raise awareness of our life changing work across Italy and beyond.
Luigi has always dreamed of making an important pilgrimage on foot and was inspired to make it a reality by the the announcement from Pope Francis about the Catholic Jubilee taking place in 2025 in Rome, whose motto is 'Pilgrims of Hope'.

Raise awareness: Raise awareness of Mary's Meals' mission to provide school meals to children in some of the world's poorest countries.
Fundraising: To help Mary's Meals reach the next hungry child waiting.

How to participate
You can support Luigi and Mary's Meals in different ways:
Walk with Luigi: Join him for a few kilometres or days of the pilgrimage.

Hospitality: Offer Luigi an evening meal, a bed and breakfast during his walk.
Event: Organise an evening event, Luigi will be available for a testimony.
