We continue to change the lives of over 2 million children who today will receive a Mary’s Meals. Mary’s Meals Malawi is our largest school feeding programme, and we work closely with schools and community volunteers who help prepare and serve the nutritious meals every school day.

Marys Meals Malawi is looking to recruit energetic and motivated individual for the positions of:

  1. Logistics Manager – Permanent position (Blantyre office)  

 

Job purpose

Reporting to the Programme Operations Lead, the Logistics Manager will coordinate fleet management, warehouse management, and facilities management in support to MM school feeding programme. The S/he will also support the Operations Lead in continuously improving our operations by providing inputs and innovative ideas based on direct observation and information collected from the team with an emphasis on the provision of effective and efficient fleet management systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration 
  • At least 3 years’ experience working within a similar role.
  • Strong commitment to Mary’s Meals vision, mission and values.
  • Proven experience in fleet management and vehicle tracking systems software i.e., Geotab.
  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
  • Experience overseeing facilities and working knowledge of maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Strong cultural sensitivity, with an ability to work well with a wide range of people in many different contexts.
  • Experience of international development, knowledge of the place of school feeding, and working in international environments and teams.
