Angela Chipeta-Khonje

With a career spanning over two decades, Angela Chipeta-Khonje has dedicated her life to creating lasting change in Malawi. She has been a driving force behind many projects addressing food security, health, and access to education. 

As the Country Director of Mary’s Meals Malawi – Mary’s Meals’ largest school feeding programme, reaching more than a million children every school day – Angela brings a wealth of experience in leading teams and guiding development initiatives. Her day-to-day responsibilities as Country Director include overseeing logistics, monitoring, and engaging with government officials and stakeholders to ensure the seamless operation of the Mary’s Meals school feeding programme in Malawi.

Angela is not only an accomplished development professional and leader but also holds a Master’s degree in public health. For many years she balanced her career with one of her greatest passions, dairy farming. 

Whether leading projects, motivating her team, conducting research, or presenting the work Mary’s Meals, Angela’s deep understanding of Malawi’s landscape and what it takes to run the only NGO in Malawi with such a wide geographical reach, makes her a leader who drives change and who inspires and educates others on the power of community, resilience and hope.
