Felicity Read, England
Director of Communications, Mary’s Meals International

Felicity is a masterful storyteller dedicated to sharing the voices of marginalised and underrepresented communities on the frontline of poverty and hunger. As the Director of Communications for Mary’s Meals International, she seeks out powerful and inspirational narratives that help motivate people to support our work and reach the next child waiting for daily meals in school.
Having travelled to several countries where children receive Mary's Meals, Felicity has an invaluable insight into our low-cost school feeding programmes and how they operate in areas of great need. While visiting our programmes, she often collaborates with international media outlets and corporate partners to amplify the reach of our storytelling, sharing with audiences the profound impact of consistent and nutritious school meals on children, their families, and wider communities. Felicity recounts the stories of the people she has met with great passion and empathy and firmly believes in the power of human connection and shared stories that resonate.
Before joining Mary’s Meals in early 2023, Felicity ran her own award-winning media and marketing business, and worked extensively in the food, sustainability, and industry sectors. She has supported major corporations through change management processes and advised on global communication strategies. She has also mentored CEOs in delivering speeches and taught on Master's programmes in both the UK and Barcelona, Spain. She is a Trustee of the charity that supports Gloucester Cathedral. Felicity has three grown-up children.
