Mary’s Meals Slovakia raises funds to provide school meals for 2,648 children for an entire school year.
Published onIn Slovakia, there is cherished Christmas Eve tradition for families to set an extra place setting at the Christmas dinner table. This tradition is not just meant to welcome unexpected guests, but also honours those who are less fortunate and may not have a Christmas dinner to attend.
The Mary’s Meals Slovakia team incorporated this much-loved tradition into its Christmas campaign in December last year, inviting supporters to purchase virtual plates via the website for a donation of €22. The campaign was an incredible success, raising more than double the donations generated last year – and enough to provide school meals for 2,648 children for an entire school year.
