Teacher and athlete Professor Nuno Gaspar ran two ultramarathons in Portugal, in support of Mary’s Meals’ school feeding programme in Mozambique.

Professor Gaspar set off on the 300-kilometre ALUT Algarve trail race on 28 November, passing the finish line 66 hours, 15 minutes and 22 seconds later on 1 December.

He then completed the Terra de Gigantes Ultramarathon in January, running 303 kilometres with the aim of providing two weeks of school meals for all 5,000 of the children who receive Mary’s Meals at their place of education in Mozambique.
